INTENDED LEARNERS
This educational activity is designed for licensed professionals, master's level or higher, in health or mental health-related fields, including marriage and family therapists, clinical and counseling psychologists, psychiatric social workers, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and counselors.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After participating in this activity, learners should be able to:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of various types of trauma, including their definitions, causes, and effects on individuals using clinical insight
- Recognize the impact of both effective and inadequate care on individuals with lived trauma experiences through personal stories and expert discussions
- Identify and differentiate various emerging treatments for trauma.
- Understand the principles of trauma-informed care, focusing on therapeutic interventions and the role of medications in treatment, and recognize the importance of collaborative care.

Participants who complete the evaluation online within 30 days of the conference will receive documentation of credit. Once a certificate has been claimed, physicians and pharmacists may elect for credits to be submitted on their behalf to their boards via additional fields that will appear within the Claim Certificate page.
