INTENDED LEARNERS

This educational activity is specifically designed for gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, primary care clinicians, including physicians, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), residents, fellows, registered nurses (RNs), and other members of the primary care team, as well as other relevant physician specialties who may play a role in the management of IBS-C

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After participating in this activity, learners should be better able to:

  •         Describe the burden of IBS-C and its impact on patient quality of life

  •         Discuss the heterogeneity of IBS-C pathophysiology, common clinical presentations, and diagnostic strategies

  •         Assess the clinical data and mechanisms of action of FDA-approved pharmacologic agents for the treatment of IBS-C

  •         Apply current recommendations from evidence-based guidelines for the optimal diagnosis and management of IBS-C

ACTIVITY OVERVIEW

To be eligible for documentation of credit for each session attended, learners must participate in the activity and complete the session(s) and overall conference evaluations. Participants who complete the evaluation online within 30 days of the conference will receive documentation of credit. Your certificate may not load if you are accessing it from a smartphone, or settings of your browser do not allow for a new tab/window to open.  

Once a certificate has been claimed, physicians and pharmacists may elect for credits to be submitted on their behalf to their boards via additional fields that will appear within the Claim Certificate page. Credits must be submitted through this process to be reported to the American Board of Surgery and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
