Litigation: How to Prevent and Survive

The threat of medical-legal action and lawsuits are an ever-present phenomenon in medical, surgical, nursing, and PT practices. As the number of patients with wounds increases, so will the frequency of lawsuits. This session will explore the definitions of malpractice and negligence and what we as wound care practitioners can do to improve our practices and minimize risk.
