Prepare for Success: Understanding the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System

The Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) became effective in 2017 and replaced the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) and Meaningful Use of an EHR (MU). MIPS will focus on Quality, Resource Utilization, Clinical Practice Improvement, and Advancing Care Information. To succeed with MIPS, integrating Evidence-Based Care with Quality Measures Reporting becomes important. In this session, two advanced practitioners will provide real-life, day-to-day examples detailing the impact of implementation of these guidelines as they work to integrate these new standards. Understanding the changes in Medicare policy will help attendees provide the needed wound services to their patients.
