Intended Learners

This activity is designed for gastroenterology physicians, internists, fellows, gastroenterology nurses, and related healthcare providers attending the ACG 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting that are involved and/or interested in the therapeutic management of patients with IBD will also benefit from the education.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

• Identify vaccination recommendations for patients with IBD on low-level and high-level immunosuppression therapy, as per guidelines
• Evaluate strategies to ensure that every patient with IBD has had a review of immunization status and that all appropriate vaccinations are current
• Demonstrate the use of tools to establish a coordinated care practice with primary care clinicians for all patients with IBD to ensure vaccinations are up-to-date
• Provide education for all patients with IBD on the importance of immunization

Activity Overview

This interactive dinner symposium will occur in Grand Ballroom - Salons H-J of the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown on Monday, October 8, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A question-and-answer session with the faculty will follow the presentation.

To be eligible for documentation of credit, participants must attend the live activity and submit a completed evaluation form.  All individuals who participate in the full symposium and submit a hard-copy evaluation will receive documentation of credit via email within 8 weeks.
