ABSTRACT

While some skin tears are unavoidable, many are considered to be preventable. It is critical that clinicians understand the effects of aging on the skin and take appropriate measures to reduce patient risk. This session will explore why skin tears occur, review classification tools available and provide a practical guide to prevention and management.
