ABSTRACT

According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, in 2016 11.5 million Americans misused prescription opioids. The medical home model has the potential to help clinicians stratify, identify, and monitor those at risk for opioid abuse, and provide effective intervention when abuse occurs. Join Dr. Ostrovsky as he provides his unique perspective on the opioid epidemic, drawing from his experience as a clinician, former Chief Medical Officer of CMS, and from his own personal family experience.
