Is it dried drainage, dead tissue, or bacterial biofilm? What is it that we must debride from a wound to prepare for healing? This program will illustrate what we should remove and how this is best achieved. There will be a review of what is meant by the terms bacterial biofilm, slough, eschar, crust, how each of these substances differ from one another, and how each is best
managed to provide cost-effective, patient-centered support of wound healing.
