    Intended Learners

    This activity is designed for physicians, podiatrists, physical therapists, and nurses who treat patients with diabetic foot ulcers.

    Learning Objectives

    After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

    • Review the latest clinical data on the role of adjuvant therapy for the treatment of non-healing diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs)
    • Employ basic tenets of proper diabetic foot wound care (debridement, off-loading options, and infection control) for the optimal treatment of unhealed DFUs 
    • Explore the use adjuvant therapy in combination with conventional (dressings) and advanced (HBO) therapy in healing diabetic foot ulcers
    • Review case-based scenarios and discuss clinical pearls acquired from the use of adjuvant therapy in DFU treatment
