After participating in this activity, learners should be better able to:
- Recognize why the pH of wound cleansers should matter
- Correlate how the International Wound Infection Institute (IWII) guidelines are aligned with the use of pHA based cleansers
- Outline how pHA-based cleansers should be used in the outpatient settings and specific methods that allow optimal germ removal, as observed via fluorescent imaging
- Examine how pHA may be used in the in-patient setting and on which types of wounds
