ISET: Focused Symposium: Essentials of Endovascular Therapy

Learning Objectives

After attending the Focused Symposium: Essentials of Endovascular Therapy at the 32nd Annual International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy (ISET) participants should be able to:

  • List evidence based medicine criteria that reflect the best techniques and devices to treat cardiovascular disease.
  • Explain the benefits of medical management and advances in anticoagulation to improve patient outcomes of endovascular therapy.
  • Assess diagnosis and treatment options for acute, chronic, and superficial venous disease, as well as acute arterial ischemia.
  • Analyze the role of noninvasive testing options in patients with peripheral arterial disease.
  • Differentiate advanced techniques and treatment for pulmonary embolism.
  • Assess treatment options via review of patient case examples for aortic-illiac, femoralpopliteal, and tibial peroneal diseases.

Intended Learners

The International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy (ISET) is designed for interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists, interventional neuroradiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, clinical cardiologists, clinical radiologists, neurologists, internists, nurses and others involved in the treatment of cardiovascular disease.

The interactive educational conference will occur on January 22, 2020 at The Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, Florida.

Instructions for Receiving Documentation of Credit

To be eligible for documentation of credit, participants must attend the educational activity and complete the online evaluation form within 4 weeks of the program. After successful completion of the evaluation form online, participants may immediately print their documentation of credit. Instructions to access the online evaluation form may be found in the ISET Conference materials.

ACCREDITATION

In support of improving patient care, North American Center for Continuing Medical Education (NACCME) is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

PHYSICIANS

NACCME designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.0  AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

UEMS/EACCME CME Credit Recognition

The American Medical Association (AMA) has an agreement of mutual recognition of CME credit with the UEMS. Under the terms of this agreement the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), the accrediting arm of the UEMS, will convert CME credit for live activities certified by the AMA.

NURSING

This continuing nursing education activity awards up to 4.0 contact hours.

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #13255 for 4.0 contact hours.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS

NACCME has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with the AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 1.0AAPA Category 1 credits. PAsshould only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

American Board of Radiology (ABR) Maintenance of Certification (MOC)

Participants of ISET sessions featuring SAMs credits will have the opportunity to take an online exam. The exams will be available online immediately after the conclusion of the sessions and a certificate can be claimed after successfully passing the exam. 

The following session is fully qualified by the American Board of Radiology in meeting the criteria for self-assessment toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR Maintenance of Certification Program (MOC):
