This activity is designed for orthopedic surgeons, OB-GYNs, neurologists, nurses, techs and those performing procedures in the operating room for extended periods of time.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After participating in this activity, learners should be better able to:

  • Understand the risks of surgical site infection, particularly in lengthy procedures.
  • Identify various ways to reduce surgical site infection.
  • Understand the difference and impact of non-turbulent air purification during a procedure.

To be eligible for credit, participants must complete the online activity and the evaluation. Upon completing the activity, there will be instructions on how to complete the evaluation and print a certificate or other documentation of credit.
